South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) are recruiting Nurse and Paramedic clinicians to work as part of our 999 Emergency Operations Centres (EOCs) team based in Crawley, West Sussex or Coxheath, Kent or across both sites.
If you are a qualified Nurse or Paramedic who has worked in a telephone clinical triage service, acute hospital, chronic, community, out-of-hospital or primary care setting and are confident assessing or referring patients to alternative services and interacting with patients, then we’d love to hear from you.
Working full-time as part of our 24/7 multi-disciplinary clinical team across our Emergency Operations centres, you will provide regional clinical oversight for patients that access urgent & emergency care through 999.
Responsibilities include:
1. Providing oversight, effective handling, and support for incoming 999 calls.
2. Undertaking remote telephone triage assessments of patients to ensure they access the most appropriate care pathways.
3. Using clinical skills to provide support and clinical oversight through the Trust’s Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system.
4. Prioritising and maintaining patient safety from the 999 point of contact to definitive care.
5. Supporting front-line clinical colleagues with remote collaborative decision making to optimise patient flow.
6. Signposting patients to appropriate and alternative community care providers.
Full training and support will be provided to help you transition into this exciting role so that you can make a significant difference to our patients.
SECAmb is at an exciting stage of its development, leading the way in how we care for patients contacting us through our 999 contact centres.
