Working at both a strategic and operational level, the role holder will identify and deliver sourcing projects and category management to meet the needs of the business. You'll be responsible for managing a core category for the business. Ensuring delivery of commercial value, sourcing sustainably and owning supplier performance. Sourcing from European & Global markets as appropriate for current and NPD products and provide market knowledge and insight for responsible categories and countries. Ensure constant supply to 13 Manufacturing sites across Europe working in partnership with Raw Material Planners in local sites. Manage annual budget and monthly forecasting to identify TPV (Total Price Variance) and category insight for market movements and project plans. Support monthly price movement with value-adding commentary to inform business of any material changes to plans / projects. Support and participate within the NFE Group S&OP Process Develop and execute procurement category strategies for Core Category using 5-step Strategic Sourcing process delivering value across Quality, Service, Risk, Innovation and Cost with a spend responsibly of circa €50m per annum. Value Creation: use market and product expertise to generate Value engineering and Productivity Plans (part of the Nomad Foods Fuel for Growth (F4G) Programme). Stakeholder Relationship Management – building relationships (own and manage) with key business stakeholders to build consensus and alignment Negotiates new Supplier Terms and Conditions in line with Group Procurement Policy Identifies and selects new Suppliers aligned with agreed Sourcing strategy Makes tender award decisions aligned with procurement operating principles and ensuring communication strategy is clear and delivered to appropriate stakeholders. Identify and challenge addressable spend to generate best value to the Business e.g. implementing cost models with key Nomad Foods suppliers where strategically relevant Qualifications Degree or equivalent Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) or similar qualification Experience of working in multi-national, commercial organisations of scale is essential. FMCG and Food Manufacturing sector experience preferred Extensive experience in a procurement function within a matrix organisation Proven track record of delivering commercial value through excellent negotiation skills, strong supplier relationship management and commercial awareness Experience of working on multi-function, muti-geography and multi-category activities and projects Excellent communication and analytical skills distilling detailed information down into key clear messages
