Job Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our Grounds Maintenance Team working across the district. This outgoing team provides a varied grounds maintenance service for the council throughout the year which includes grass cutting, shrub bed maintenance, hedge cutting, formal planting maintenance, soft landscaping, cemetery maintenance, burials and other associated horticultural and arboriculture operations.
Responsibilities
You will be working in a wide range of locations from woodland, SSSI’s, clifftops to formal gardens. Must be highly motivated to meet targets/schedules and complete work to a high standard.
Requirements
You must have at least 1, ideally 2+ years’ experience in a Grounds Maintenance role as well as a valid driver’s license (with trailer entitlement a benefit), holding PA1, PA6 herbicide and preferably with NVQ Level 1 or equivalent certification/tickets/licences.

We are developing a new, modern operational depot at Hardley Industrial Estate, SO45 3NQ. The new depot will be available from January 2025 at the earliest. Once the new depot is operational, this role will be based at that location.
