JKS are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join their team. As we expand our domestic and international presence, we are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across our finance operations. This role provides hands-on accounting control and strategic financial insights, guiding our business toward successful growth.

The Position
We are looking for a technically proficient and commercially minded Senior Financial Accountant to oversee the financial reporting and accounting functions for a portfolio of restaurants. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with IFRS, manage audits, produce monthly consolidated accounts for multiple groupings, and lead process improvements while developing and mentoring the senior financial accountant. This role will also take ownership of the finance system, Sage Intacct, to ensure robust financial controls and accurate reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Compliance & Financial Reporting
* Ensure strict compliance with IFRS, company policies, and regulatory requirements
* Month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting and managing the year-end group audit
* Deliver monthly consolidated accounts for various subgroups within the business
* Prepare audit packs for all sites, making necessary adjustments, and resolving audit queries
* Prepare statutory accounts for all entities, including iXBRL tagging, and ensure timely filings with Companies House and HMRC
* Collaborate with external tax advisors to prepare tax workings and manage filings
* Prepare in-house capital allowances work and ensure accurate tax computations
* Oversee the completion of balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Sage Intacct System Ownership
* Take full ownership of Sage Intacct, ensuring the system supports robust financial controls and accurate, timely reporting
* Lead the ongoing development and optimisation of Sage Intacct to improve reporting accuracy, automation, and process efficiencies
* Ensure system upgrades and changes are integrated seamlessly with business operations and maintain compliance with regulatory standards
Process Improvement & Efficiency
* Enhance finance processes, systems, and internal controls to improve efficiency and accuracy
* Provide actionable recommendations to improve operational efficiency and profitability, aligning financial goals with broader business objectives
Expansion & Risk Management
* Research and assess financial implications of expanding into new international territories, advising on tax, regulatory, and financial reporting requirements
* Develop and implement risk management strategies to evaluate and mitigate financial risks
* Foster relationships with stakeholders, auditors, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance and alignment with the companys growth objectives
Team Leadership and Development
* Lead, mentor, and upskill a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture
* Upskill the current Financial Accountant to enable them to independently manage audit packs, statutory accounts, and tax workings
Ad Hoc Responsibilities
* Complete additional tasks and projects as needed, such as preparing ad hoc reports or supporting new system implementations
* Assist with strategic finance projects that align with the companys long-term goals
Qualifications
* ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification required
* 5+ years of experience in financial reporting, IFRS, tax compliance, and managing audits
* Experience producing consolidated accounts in a multi-national business
* Extensive experience managing month-end and year-end closing processes, preparing statutory and consolidated accounts, and handling balance sheet reconciliations
* Proven technical expertise with Sage Intacct or similar financial systems, including system optimisation and process automation
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders and non-financial managers
* Experience in the hospitality or F&B industry is desirable
* Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial software/ERP systems
