The team are responsible for design, developing and maintaining the systems that meet our customer’s needs whilst delivering operational continuity and drive efficiency across all areas of our businesses in the UK and in Australia. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Developer or recent graduate with experience gained in business to join ISD and become a key part of our future. This role involves working as an integral part of the software development team. The development environments will be Progress OpenEdge and SQL Server 2020 with opportunities for exposure to C#, Java & Xojo Skills and Experience: • You are a graduate with an IT related degree and a proven track record for delivering solutions in a real world setting • You are tenacious, a logical thinker who takes ownership of a problem and delivers a robust solution • You are inquisitive with a strong technical aptitude, capable of learning new skills and concepts • You are a good communicator, a collaborator capable of working as part of a team and on your own initiative • You are a self starter, conscientious with a good work ethic • Prior knowledge of Progress OpenEdge is advantageous but not necessary for the right person • Prior knowledge of SQL, Xojo or Java is also advantageous Key activities and responsibilities include: • You will work as a member of a small team and report into a Development Team Leader • You will have the opportunity to work on projects that provide revenue opportunities & business efficiencies for UK Greetings and John Sands in Australia • You will be involved in the full development lifecycle from requirements gathering, design, development and user acceptance testing • You will have real opportunity to progress and to become a key component of the future of ISD What’s in it for you? • A hybrid working model to support work-life balance • The opportunity to drive meaningful change and contribute to the growth of the Company. • A supporting team environment where your ideas and input are valued Ready for a new challenge?
