We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Logistics Team Leader to join our existing team in Leeds.
The Role:
Assist the team leader in managing Logistics/Warehouse Staff on a day-to-day basis. Organise staff so all required functions are covered throughout the shift patterns.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure all supplier deliveries are processed within a working day.
* Support team leader & manager in day-to-day running.
* Process all work through company IT systems accurately.
* Report issues to the correct department via email.
* Liaise with other departments.
* Housekeeping.
* Other duties requested by line manager.
* Assist in training new staff members.
* Take part in pre-planned stock takes and other tasks outside of standard working hours (paid at relevant overtime rate or time can be claimed back in lieu).
* Ad hoc stock counts.
* Respond to and send emails where necessary.
* Check and process transport invoices.
* Write Standard Operating Procedures as required.
* Advise on export documentation.
What we are looking for:
Education, Training and Experience Requirements:
* Management training is preferable but on-the-job training will be given for the right candidate.
* Experience in ERP systems.
* Experience leading a team (manufacturing preferable).
* Full driving licence.
