Contract: Permanent
Salary: 12.25 per hour
A co-educational independent day and boarding school in Wellington, Somerset for pupils aged 3 to 18, catering for 800 students and teachers with 220 boarders. This is a 52-week contract with a considerable amount of hospitality at this location. This is a 7-day operation, so the working pattern would be 5 out of 7. The role will be split between front of house and kitchen. Additional benefit of this location is free on-site parking.
We are looking for a talented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at one of our fabulous locations in Somerset.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work well in a team, providing food and great service.
* Produce food for service using fresh ingredients, cooking from scratch and following the company's brand standards.
* Ensure company food standards are adhered to and wastage controlled.
* Follow all Food Hygiene, Health & Safety policies, and allergen control procedures.
* Assist with pot wash duties.
* Help the Chefs with food prep.
You Will Have the Following Skills:
* A genuine interest in food and excellent customer service.
* An all-round team player.
* Innovation and passion for great food.
* An organised Kitchen Assistant with attention to detail.
* Ability to demonstrate reasonable/good understanding and use of verbal English.
* Ability to demonstrate reasonable/good standard of written English and reading skills.
* Similar experience in a customer and/or food preparation environment is preferred.
