* Location: Goole, Doncaster area easy M62 access and A1 proximity

* Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 hours rotating
* Pay Range: £46K plus overtime, OTE £50K+
* Contract Type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities – Mechanical Maintenance Fitter
* Provide effective and efficient planned, preventative, and breakdown maintenance to minimise losses to production.
* Ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault finding and maintenance of equipment.
* Perform planned and reactive maintenance to keep downtime to a minimum.
* Work with conveyor systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and general mechanical fitting.
* Conduct fault-finding to basic welding.
* Lead electrical and instrumentation repair, and work with a CMMS.
* Diagnose, resolve, and eliminate root causes of mechanical engineering faults.
* Implement minor equipment modifications in support of increased performance.
* Complete all scheduled, planned corrective, reactive, and improvement maintenance as assigned.
* Contribute to the planning and implementation of allocated annual equipment overhauls.
Qualifications & Requirements – Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
* Apprentice trained or NVQ level 3 in a mechanical engineering discipline in maintenance engineering.
* Manufacturing industry experience, heavy, medium, or FMCG environments considered.
* Knowledge of conveyor belts, drives, gearboxes, couplings, and general mechanical equipment.
* Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems is essential.
* Experience with routine preventative maintenance and an understanding of a PPM schedule.
* Ability to find and fix faults quickly and effectively.
* Basic welding and fabrication skills advantageous.
* Fitting, fabricating, and welding experience.
