Goland Recruitment our looking for a H&S Monitor for one of our clients. Monday - Friday (weekend work is available). £280 Day Rate The full-time health & safety monitoring role will be a site based advisory and monitoring role only. They will not take on any duties of either the Principal Contractor or the Client under CDM2015 during the construction phase. The Health and safety monitor will assist the client to fulfil their duties under CDM 2015 The appointed Safety Consultant must have the necessary skills, knowledge and experience to carry out the role. This includes technical knowledge of the construction industry, relevant to the project, the understanding and skills to monitor and co-ordinate health and safety throughout the construction phase. - Complete initial start of works H&S tour with the principal contractor - Complete further H&S tours throughout the day, noting any issues or good practice - Feedback to the principal contractor and assist with rectifying any failures in compliance - Diary to be completed daily to show site details and a summary of issues raised to the principal contractor - Attend principal contractor daily and weekly Safety coordination meetings on site - Complete a review of CDM documentation, RAMs, PTW procedures etc - Conduct safety tours with the principal contractor H&S Manager when on site - Complete and issue Amazon H&S template report and Construction Consultant Narrative report along with supporting photographs of good and bad practice weekly - Review/assist with near-miss reports, accident, and incident reports as and when required Work closely with our in-house team to achieve excellent health, wellbeing, safety, quality and environmental performance, high levels of compliance and ultimately a strong, positive health and safety culture. Act as a role model always in support of the companys vision, priorities, and values. We expect our safety monitors to be friendly, approachable, and helpful, at all times whilst on site. Experience Required: - Minimum 3 years Health and Safety experience - Proven track record of completing H&S auditing on similar developments and projects - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - Excellent IT skills with access to a suitable laptop with Microsoft Office installed Qualifications: - NEBOSH General Certificate Qualification (or Equivalent) - Registered with Construction Skills Certification Scheme, (Preferable Grade Safety Officer) Professional Associations: - Preferred if a Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (Tech IOSH Minimum)
