Job Description
Qualified Social Worker, Bedfordshire Council, Childrens Family Support Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children's Social Work team.
The team works extremely well together to ensure the safety of children under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager.
The responsibilities will include:
1. Reviewing LAC (Looked After Children) care packages across services to determine if they meet with the child's current assessed need and if required undertake bespoke parenting/viability assessments of associated family members.
2. Child Protection work.
3. Delivering early help and statutory services with accountability for the management of cases, resources and performance so that great outcomes for children, young people and their families are achieved.
4. Advocate for children, young people and families.
5. Assess the needs of children, young people and families so that plans made are timely and evidence-based.
6. Plan, implement, review & evaluate interventions to ensure great outcomes for families using up to date knowledge of relevant legislation, research and best practice.
7. Contribute to the ongoing development and delivery of service improvement plans.
8. Liaise with other professionals.
9. 37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation).
10. 3 month Temporary Contract.
11. Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance.

The successful candidate will need to hold a DipSW or equivalent, must be registered with the HCPC, have a current DBS and be a car driver.
