We are looking for a mental health nurse specialist with a passion for supporting adults with their mental health at work to join our friendly and supportive Occupational Health Team. As an experienced RMN you will have proven experience in working with adults with a wide range of mental health conditions, completing complex assessments independently and report writing as part of your role. As the lead nurse for Mental Health in the department, you will provide consultation and training to colleagues working in Occupational Health, as well as support with education for employers.
Avon Partnership Occupational Health Service (APOHS) is an NHS service hosted by UHBW, in partnership with North Bristol Trust & Sirona care & health. We provide a specialist service to the local health community in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire as well as providing services to other private and public sector organisations in the local and surrounding areas.
This is an exciting time to join our service as we take forward a new strategy to ensure our NHS people are safe, healthy and protected in their roles. We know that looking after their health and wellbeing in turn has a positive impact on the quality of patient care they can give. This post will be central to realising our vision by providing good quality mental health assessment and support for our NHS staff at work.
The post holder(s) will:
• To support and contribute to the effective provision of a high-quality Occupational Health and Wellbeing Service to Partners and external customers.
• The post-holder will provide clinical expertise to maintain and develop high quality, evidence based occupational health services to Partners and external customers.
• To work autonomously and as part of the multi-disciplinary team
• To participate in audit and research related to the professional development of OH nursing.
• To maintain confidentiality in line with professional guidelines.
