Regional Electrical Compliance Manager
Regional role covering the South of England, primarily based around the London area.
Hybrid Working Model, Full Time, Permanent, offering a salary of up to £47,124 per annum, depending on experience.
Plus Company Car or Car allowance of £4500 & Great Company Benefits.
We are looking for a Regional Electrical Compliance Manager to support our branches in the South of England. It is a hybrid role, working from home and/or a local branch. In this role, you will be part of a small compliance team in our technical compliance department.
You will provide support to Mears electrical operational teams and, where necessary, report non-compliance to Managers regarding legislation, policy, procedures, systems, and working practices while instigating and supporting corrective actions required.
You will instil a strong electrical compliance culture within all staff and subcontractors working on Mears Group contracts and apply consistent application of procedures during audits and site inspections, ensuring that electrical teams are assessed and monitored regularly.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for managing all of our electrical activities to ensure they comply with current regulations and standards and meet Mears policy standards. You will support all Electrical Supervisors/Managers, carrying out audits either in person or remotely and report on all Electrical investigations.
This is a regional role that will involve travel and overnight stays. A company car or car allowance, phone, tablet, and laptop will be supplied.
The key requirements of the role are to be a fully qualified electrician (NICEIC EQS standard to EAS criteria), have QS & Social housing experience, a Full UK Driving License, and a drive and passion to promote electrical safety.
Role Criteria:
* Good all-round knowledge of electrical installations and current regulations and standards.
* Communication at all levels, good written, verbal, and numeracy skills.
* Good people skills.
* Ability to work as part of a team or independently.
* Able to motivate others, with good counselling, mentoring, and coaching skills.
* Auditing and assessing others for electrical competence and compliance.
* Able to work to agreed targets with good time management skills.
* Maintain CPD and Electrical Qualifying Supervisor status.
* A full current Driving License.
* Experience of working in social housing.
* Previous experience working as a QS.
* Experience of using Microsoft Office and Android mobile devices.
Essential Qualifications:
* Must meet current Electrotechnical Assessment Specification (EAS) as required by the NICEIC for Electrical Qualified Supervisors.
* Full base (craft) qualifications in electrical installation levels 2 and 3 equivalent, NVQ3 and AM2.
* An inspection & testing qualification for both initial verification and condition reporting to level 3.
* An 18th edition qualification.
