An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Extra Care Scheme Manager to work in an exceptional extra care facility based in the Poole, Dorset area. You will be working for one of the UK's leading health care providers.
This is an extra care site in the centre of Poole and has self-contained flats for vulnerable adults with various disabilities and conditions.
You must have an NVQ/QCF Level 5 in Health & Social Care and previous experience as an extra care or supported living service manager.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Utilise authentic leadership, role modelling and inspirational skills to motivate the team to deliver excellent quality of care.
2. Be the person in charge responsible for the day-to-day running of the Service with 24-hour responsibility for the care of the Service Users.
3. Manage the effective use of resources, including the financial performance of the Service, and maintain high levels of occupancy.
4. Provide improvement, independence, and choice for Service Users.
5. Comply with all regulatory and legislative requirements at all times, particularly the CQC.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
1. Developing and implementing evidence-based individualised care packages, therapeutic interventions, and individualised activity programmes.
2. Leading and supervising the support team to deliver the highest standards of person-centred care using clinical governance and their own personal development.
3. Familiarity with areas concerning sickness management, staff training and development, and coaching and mentoring.
4. Effective communication and engagement with service users, their families, and colleagues; good interpersonal and working relationship skills are essential.
5. Good understanding of the disabilities, health, and social care needs of service users and assisting those who have mobility or continence needs, using the appropriate aids and equipment.
6. Providing appropriate levels of care and support to ensure that personal hygiene needs are met.
The successful Extra Care Manager will receive an excellent salary of GBP42,157 per annum. This exciting position is a permanent full-time role for 37.5 hours a week working through day shifts. In return for your hard work and commitment, you will receive the following generous benefits:
