Laboratory Assistant (Cell Testing Lab) Li-ion Battery Cell (Applied Research) Oxford What you’ll do… You will support the testing and evaluation of Li-ion battery cells, conducting performance and reliability tests to assist in the development of next-generation battery technologies. This role involves running electrochemical tests, managing test equipment, and ensuring the accuracy of test results to support R&D efforts in cell development. Conduct charge-discharge cycling, impedance spectroscopy (EIS), and other electrochemical tests to evaluate the performance and durability of Li-ion battery cells. Set up, calibrate, and maintain testing equipment (e.g., battery testers, environmental chambers) to ensure optimal operation during experiments. Accurately record test results, monitor performance, and assist with data analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement in battery cell performance. Maintain detailed records of testing procedures, results, and observations. Assist in preparing reports and presentations for the research team. Ensure safe operation of equipment and adherence to lab safety protocols. Maintain a clean and organised testing environment. Who we are… Agratas is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons. What you’ll bring… Proficient in conducting electrochemical tests on Li-ion battery cells, including charge-discharge cycling, CV, and EIS. Familiarity with battery testing equipment (e.g., battery testers, cycling stations, environmental chambers). Strong ability to record, interpret, and manage test data accurately. Knowledge of laboratory safety standards, with the ability to follow safety protocols for equipment operation and chemical handling.
