About the Role Forming part of our newly created Platform X Communications. The role will be responsible for the continued growth of our B2B Ethernet and Broadband products. Reporting to the Chief Sales Officer, as Head of Sales, you will be leading an exceptional Sales team with a select portfolios of accounts and revenues in excess of £60m. With an inspiring vision to be the Wholesale platform of choice, we aim to be the fastest growing provider of Software defined bandwidth services to the UKs B2B market. This role’s purpose is to dominate the market share. What you will be working on Some of the key responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Lead the Sales Team. The function plays a major role in the shaping and structuring of sales opportunities, maintaining the customer base and delivering the annual P&L goals and associated KPI targets. This Sales team are responsible for managing a select portfolio of accounts with annual revenue of circa £60m Be responsible for the continued growth of accounts to drive both sales and EBITDA Share accountability with the marketing function for improving the individual customer experience and strategy Execute the sales strategy that drives profitable revenue and gross margin from new and existing products, services and partnerships Own the relationship, strategy, and performance of remit to optimize value/trading. Be a strong voice of the customer and be able to articulate the value proposition and competitive differentiators for the most common deal situations. Own and execute an effective messaging plan for engaging multiple influencers in today’s consensus-driven sale Work in partnership with commercial finance, propositions and product management, and marketing on messaging, pricing strategies, and business models to achieve revenue and gross margin goals Work alongside CSO, Commercial Finance to build robust key lagging, leading, and behavioural indicators with KPI’s that help develop a great pipeline and forecasting process. Help maximize reach and efficiency by adding new, scalable partners in a strategic way Participate in key external negotiations with our largest strategic accounts Leadership: Be accountable for the development of DR’s in the Team, providing clear objectives and accountability for the team whilst providing a strong support structure. Build and foster creative teams committed to continuing our culture of innovation Relentless on coaching and create a ‘coaching culture’ in which the Heads of Departments are continually coaching their teams. Drive cross-functional/departmental collaboration and truly live ‘One-Team’ Stay well-connected with customers and be seen as an influential leader in the market; spending time with sales teams in the field. frequently visiting partners and attending local sales meetings and networking at industry events What will make you successful in your role?
