Purpose of the Role:
Responsible for the words that bring the brand and product to life, the Brand Editor delivers a compelling and consistent verbal identity across the store and digital experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as guardian for the verbal identity of the brand. First point of contact (and final word) on all copy and messaging.
* Work with stakeholders in creative, buying, marketing, HR, L&D and Retail Ops to embed our TOV and amplify our customer experience, brand positioning and commerciality.
* Direct internal and external comms for consistent and authoritative voice and positioning.
* Lead content owners to land stories in the most effective and engaging format on their channels, aligning with the brand’s visual strategy and the wider menswear landscape.
* Manage and nurture copywriter and brand comms writer to deliver best-in-class copy and editorial, bringing our TOV to life on every customer touchpoint.
* Develop the language and narratives that set the tone and identity for marketing activity – and set directives for how to land them across our platforms.
* Lead on how copy and content feeds into the customer experience, working with Ecomm and customer service teams.
* A champion for great writing at Moss, supporting the whole business to confidently deliver it.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
Technical:
* A senior copywriter or editor with at least seven years' experience in-house, in an agency role or as a freelancer writing for both digital and print.
* A subject matter expert, able to advocate for the value of well-written and consistent brand language.
* Excellent writing and editing skills with a keen eye for an editorial angle. You’ll be hands-on to support the copy team’s workflow, and adept at pulling others’ copy into shape.
* Proven ability to adapt and work at pace, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
* Commercially minded with a solid understanding of SEO principles and digital marketing trends.
* PC/mac literate and proficient in Microsoft Office suite and Adobe.
