Senior Support Worker

We are currently seeking experienced Senior Support Workers to fill vacancies for our clients, who offer high-quality support services to individuals with a range of needs in High Wycombe. Role Overview:
As a Senior Support Worker, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of support workers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and support. You will assist in developing care plans, providing hands-on support, and ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals under your care. Your leadership and experience will be essential in creating a positive, compassionate, and person-centred environment.
Key Responsibilities:
5. Supervise, mentor, and support a team of support workers, ensuring they provide person-centered care.
6. Assist in the development and review of individual care plans, ensuring they meet the needs and preferences of service users.
7. Provide direct support to service users, including personal care, mobility assistance, and facilitating activities of daily living.
8. Ensure a safe and comfortable living environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
9. Lead by example, ensuring compliance with care standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
10. Build strong relationships with service users, their families, and other professionals involved in their care.
11. Provide support and guidance to junior staff, fostering a positive team culture and promoting professional development.
Essential Requirements:
12. Previous experience in a support worker or senior support worker role.
13. NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
14. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
15. A compassionate and person-centered approach to care.
16. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
17. Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, and care standards.
Desirable Skills:
Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities, mental health conditions, or other complex needs.
