Job summary Applications will be welcome from individuals with significant clinical experience in cardiology who are keen to develop skills and knowledge within the specialist area of TAVI. This would be a TAVI specialist nurse development role, working towards a Band 7 once competencies, training, and education necessary for the role are completed. This is in line with Annex 21 meaning once training is completed over an 18-month period a percentage of Band 7 salary as per AFC will be updated. The successful applicant would be supported by the TAVI team and MDT, through peer discussion, case load review and clinical support, develop competence and confidence in delivering safe and effective management of TAVI patients. The post holder will be expected to: Assist with the coordination and facilitation of the Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) service at LHCH in line with local and national guidelines. Work to develop the TAVI service covering the whole patient journey. Work under the direction of the Lead Heart Valve Nurse as a member of the TAVI team in collaboration with junior medical staff and the nursing teams.
