Description Survivors in Transition, Ipswich £33,000 per annum 35 hours per week Fixed term for 12 months Reference: 0831 Your role and responsibilities As a member of our passionate and dedicated team, you will play a crucial role in supporting survivors of sexual violence. Utilising trauma-informed practice, you will provide compassionate care, empower survivors, and contribute to the broader mission, vision and values of our organisation. Scope of Responsibility: Oversee an entire department. Responsible for departmental strategy, resource allocation, and achieving departmental targets aligned with the broader organisational objectives. Decision-Making Authority: Broader authority, involving strategic planning within their department, budget management, and influencing strategic decision making. You’ll be: an enthusiastic and ambitious mid level leader with experience managing and motivating a team with relevant previous operational service experience a creative solutions seeker who can work under pressure to timescales a clear and kind communicator inspired by data and insights, with analytical ability experienced at managing and escalating risk and safeguarding issues knowledgeable in the field of VAWG / sexual violence and have a good understanding of the landscape we operate in confident at representing the views of survivors articulately to key system stakeholders committed to ensuring value for money / effective resource and capacity management able to uphold quality assurance without compromising performance requirements. You will need: a minimum undergraduate degree is a relevant field eg: Counselling or Psychotherapy, Psychology, Mental health, Social care demonstrable experience of service /operational delivery mid level management advanced safeguarding experience excellent IT skills including data analysis and reporting skills excellent knowledge and experience in implementing trauma-informed care and its application in supporting survivors of sexual violence the ability to work autonomously and innovate within professional guidelines and the overall framework and model at SiT seriously good people skills and a very good grasp of HR practice excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively clean drivers licence and use of car a non-judgmental approach, Client-centred, flexible, imaginative approach to work flexibility and a positive approach as services change and develop and the changing needs of our service users ability to problem solve and to give and receive constructive advice ability to adapt to changing situations and environments understanding of confidentiality and ability to apply sensitively and appropriately sensitivity to cultural, racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic diversity, and a commitment to promoting inclusivity and social justice.
