This is an exciting opportunity for a Regional Apprentice Manager to join our Lancaster business. This role reports into the Construction Director. The purpose of the role is to support a culture of lifelong learning throughout our business and provide a quality apprentice experience for all our apprentices. The Regional Apprenticeship Manager will support the recruitment, on-boarding, monitoring, and achievement of a range of apprentices across the business. Apprenticeships are a crucial element to develop the future skills required by our business and to provide people, from all backgrounds, with the opportunity to obtain both job-specific and personal skills that will contribute to their achievement in the workplace. The role will include: Supporting the business to recruit quality candidates for their apprenticeship places, this will include marketing apprenticeship vacancies locally, working with local training providers, assessment centres, and interviewing potential candidates. Engaging providers for the delivery of the appropriate apprenticeship. On-boarding of apprentices, collaborating with the regional teams to arrange and deliver an apprenticeship induction day, working with sites and offices to ensure they are ready to support their apprentices, helping apprentices in their first weeks in settling into the world of work. Monitoring the progress of apprentices against their gateway programme and learning plan, consulting with college providers and site to ensure continuous progression. Organising and managing end point assessments for apprentices after ensuring they are ready for assessment. Reporting to group training function on apprenticeship starts, progression, and destination data. Providing pastoral support to apprentices and support to apprentice mentors within the business. Engaging with schools, colleges and providers to support events to promote aspirational careers with Persimmon Homes, as well as the wider house building and construction industry. What we need from you? A demonstrable history of providing high-quality apprenticeship support within the construction industry, preferably in the house building sector Experience of apprenticeship recruitment Thorough understanding of apprenticeship standards and their requirements Excellent organisation, timekeeping and team working skills Planning/prioritising and time management skills A high standard of inter-personal and communication skills supporting an ability at all levels A tactful and friendly communication style Experience of fast paced employer led learning environments A valid UK Driver’s Licence is required, and must be flexible with travel as training delivery will be conducted at various locations throughout the region Current up to date DBS certification Training/assessor qualifications would be beneficial Experience of managing/co-ordinating apprenticeships in Construction occupations Solid occupational experience within the apprenticeship arena Confident and professional manner with the ability to inspire and motivate people Quality driven approach to training What’s in it for you?
