Role Title: Business Development Executive

Role Purpose:
The role of the Business Development Executive (BDE) is pivotal in executing directions from the Business Development Manager (BDM), generating, and managing quotes independently, and promptly following up on all quotes with persistence. Their responsibilities also include diligently populating the BDM’s calendar with weekly appointments and proactively engaging with existing accounts to secure orders, ensuring consistent business growth and creating and maintaining customer relationships.
Location: Speke, fully office based
Working hours: 8am - 5pm Monday to Thursday, 8am - 4.30pm on Friday
Key Accountabilities
Key Activities
* Follow Up Calls
Follow up outstanding quotes persistently, constantly and with tenacity.
* Cold Calls
Follow up on visuals, leads and prospects within the database to gather more information about prospects, qualify and uncover sales opportunities.
* Existing Account Calls and Management
Call current customers to bring in orders, maintain regular contact with customers. The BDE is expected to spot gaps in customer spend and act swiftly by calling the customer.
* Calendar Management
Book appointments for Business Development Manager from their request and aligned with the visit schedule for each account and prospect set by the BDM in each territory.
* Sales Director Visit Preparation
The BDE in each territory is responsible for visit preparation for the BDM, by ensuring any relevant information and account updates are communicated effectively to the BDM prior to their visits. They are expected to print off quotes, arrange for samples to be ready and prepare any other information needed for the visits.
* CRM Management
Manage and maintain Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems to effectively track and analyze key account interactions, ensuring accurate records, and facilitating strategic decision-making to optimize customer and prospect relationships and maximize sales potential.
* Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety (QEHS)
Following all trained processes to the letter without creating any shortcuts to ensure quality management. Always ensuring H&S compliance in the workplace, being mindful of your environment. Report any H&S issues to line manager at point of occurrence. Report any issues relating to breach of quality or environmental policy to line manager.
