Job Introduction
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic and committed apprentice teacher of Computer Science to teach across the full age and ability range from September 2025. Pay Scale: unqualified teacher (placed on scale dependent on experience).
An apprentice will work towards attaining qualified teacher status (QTS) by blending workplace-learning with part-time university study at the University of Sussex. They will need to meet the apprenticeship standard and will need to pass an end-point assessment.
This is a position for a person capable of making an impact; passionate about education and relentless in the pursuit of improved standards and outcomes for learners in Computer Science.

Minimum Requirements
The successful candidate will:
* Hold a bachelor's degree awarded by a UK higher education provider, or a recognised equivalent qualification.
* Have achieved a standard equivalent to grade C/4, or above, in the GCSE examinations in English and mathematics.
* Be passionate about their subject and committed to making Computing an exciting and enjoyable subject for all our students.
* Have outstanding interpersonal skills.
* Be able to contribute to the growth of the department.
* Be innovative, dynamic and forward-looking.
* Be committed to high quality teaching and learning for students of all abilities.
* Be able to plan and teach well-structured lessons.
* Make accurate and productive use of assessment.
* Have experience of working with young people.
* Be a team player.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
