This is an exciting opportunity to join the Midlands Nursing Directorate and the Quality Governance Team as a Clinical Senior Quality Manager at a band 8B.
The post holder will support the work of the Quality Governance Team within the Nursing Directorate with a key role in supporting to deliver high quality leadership, specialist advice, support and interventions to improve patient safety and quality across the Midlands.
The post holder will act as a regional champion for patient safety, including the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF) quality governance, patient experience, and risk management.
Main duties of the job
The Clinical Senior Quality Manager role is an integral part of the regional nursing and midwifery team at NHS England working with the Assistant Director of Quality, Director of Nursing (Quality Governance) and regional leadership team.
The post holder will work as part of a dynamic team, and collaboratively across the directorate, supporting the Assistant Director of Quality to establish systems and processes to ensure quality compliance across the region and providing effective services to support managers and staff across the Midlands Region/Nursing Directorate.

Qualifications
Essential
* Educated to masters level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area.
Desirable
* Registered nurse and/or midwife and/or Member of relevant professional body.
Experience
Essential
* Extensive knowledge of specialist areas acquired through post graduate diploma or equivalent experience or training plus further specialist knowledge or experience to master's level equivalent.
* Significant experience of working with clinical leaders and other clinical experts within work programmes and in the delivery of statutory functions.
* Experience of budgetary responsibility, including budget setting with evidence of working knowledge of financial processes.
Desirable
* Experience in organisational development and the ability to lead, motivate and inspire staff to work together to achieve common objectives.

* Strong external communication skills including experience of delivering presentations to large groups of stakeholders in often pressurized and politically sensitive environments.
