We are looking for a Strategist to join our Strategy & Innovation function, on a permanent at either Citigen or Trinity (Hybrid) As a Strategist you will play a key part in developing the overarching strategy for E.ON in the UK.

Here's what you'll be doing
In this role, you will support strategic projects sponsored by the UK CEO and Board, ensuring that our strategic initiatives align with our long-term goals and drive the company's success. Your expertise will be critical in shaping the future direction of E.ON in the UK, working closely with senior stakeholders to develop and implement impactful strategies to make new energy work: Affordable, sustainable, for everyone. Main responsibilities include -
* Supporting the Head of UK Strategy and Strategy Managers develop and maintain the overall E.ON UK Strategy.
* Play a key role in strategic projects sponsored by the CEO and UK Board members
* Analyse external trends, economic conditions, competitor performance, and growth opportunities, particularly in untapped areas of the energy value chain
* Provide research and expertise on strategic decision-making and energy transition topics
* Assess and evaluate strategic options, including developing financial models and making recommendations.
* Assist senior stakeholders in identifying key topics, developing insights, and communicating them effectively
* Support corporate office activities for the UK CEO, including writing presentations, briefing notes, and preparing for high-profile meetings
* Support Group Strategy projects and respond to inquiries from Group Strategy, Commercial Programming, Investor Relations, and other central functions
* Continuously develop strategy skills and foster knowledge sharing within the team, and the wider E.ON UK Strategy community
* Collaborate with stakeholders including the UK CEO, Board, UKLT, line-of-business strategy teams, Commercial Services, and other Group functions

Essential:
* Highly numerate, with excellent analytical, modelling and critical thinking skills
* Skilled in data analysis tools and software
* Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
* Good written communication and presentation skills
* Creative and intellectually curious mindset
* Tolerance for change and ambiguity and ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
* Self-motivated with a drive for excellent performance and independence
Desired:
* Previous experience in a strategy function
* Knowledge of strategy development and analysis techniques
* Strong commercial, financial, and entrepreneurial acumen, including business plan and investment case development
* Passion for and knowledge of the energy industry and energy transition
* Degree-level education, preferably in a numerate discipline
* Experience in financial analysis and producing high-quality senior communications
