Job Purpose A fantastic opportunity has arisen within the heart of central London for a dynamic Security Supervisor. As Security Supervisor, you will be responsible for recruiting, managing, and empowering your team, setting the example as a strong, caring and inspiring leader with an ability to champion success and support where necessary. You will be self-motivated, confident in your communications and deal with all levels of stakeholders as second nature, with regular, meaningful interactions with the client. The site environments encompass corporate offices. With the team working across front-of-house, back-of-house, loading bay, this makes for an exciting and varied role, utilising the broader aspects of the successful candidate's experience. This position operates on a full-time contract working 0700-1900 Monday-Friday. We offer a competitive salary of £ 46,800 approx per annum. Key Responsibilities Actively engage with the onsite team of security officer employees daily, to ensure effective communication of all matters pertaining to the delivery of a consistently 5-star guest experience. Work closely and consultatively with site management and Head of London Office Administration on any security and front-of-house matters, with a confident, experienced approach to setting-up a new site and running a large team effectively - this is essential. Responsible for the professional conduct & development of all Security team members. Must have a full understanding of the functions covered by Front of House, Back of House and Security team members. Must have an awareness of electronic solutions such as CCTV & access control, key holding, post room and general business support. Previous working experience with Timegate, or similar, would be beneficial. Ensure compliance with SLA requirements, minimizing risks to all associates in the client's business, which includes visitors, occupiers, and internal associates. Must take ownership of incidents and direct employees to ensure response, reporting and management is in line with policy and procedures. Work in partnership with service partners and client's representatives, ensuring all aspects of site security and fire prevention requirements are effectively managed. [In coordination with the Head of London Office Administration] Regular liaison with external organisations such as the Council, Police and Emergency services and staying abreast of regular security briefs (including those subscribed to by the client. A methodical approach to key management, including documentation, handover processes, auditing, and reconciliations, with the team are thoroughly trained in the procedures associated. The Security Supervisor must ensure that all Security Officer employees are working in appropriate and safe conditions. Any accidents or faults that occur are being reported in accordance with procedures and policies, for both company and client. Manage on a day-to-day basis the CCTV, fire and security systems installed, ensuring that all staff are fully trained and competent in their roles and carrying out their required duties. Ensure that all incidents are managed and responded to in accordance with policies and procedures. Liaise and meet with clients and customers on a regular basis to review and record contract performance whilst ensuring high quality standards are consistently maintained. Daily liaison with client personnel to ensure that security issues are identified and resolved. Must be responsible for manning levels of contracted, ad-hoc and special events as per customer requirements, these include, recruitment, screening and vetting with administrators and central support ensuring that sufficient and suitable relief staff are available. Respond to medical emergencies, bomb threats, fire alarms, or intrusion alarms, following emergency response procedures, working closely with the client. Scheduled mobile and/or on-site patrols are carried out correctly and all required reports are completed. Ensure all staff uniforms are always of a high standard with a clean-cut presentation. Manage all relevant systems and ensure that all defects are correctly monitored and reported. Carry out investigations according to industry best practices. Completion of regular reports and their storage and dissemination to the Contract Manager and Client representative. Manage regular site meetings with Client and Site Supervisor to review site management details. Ensure that all employee grievances are dealt with according to company procedures. Essential Candidate Specification Professional, highly driven, flexible, enthusiastic, proactive, excellent motivational skills. Must have a valid DS license. Must have a clear understanding and be able to demonstrate outstanding customer service skills whilst always maintaining a high degree of confidentiality. Clear, concise and confident communication skills which are customer service orientated with an excellent eye for detail. Extensive experience in key management, including auditing and systems associated. Flexibility, reliability and being able to workdays with a responsibility for nights and weekends to suit the needs of the business. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure and must be physically able to carry out all duties. Ensure monthly ad hoc spreadsheets are maintained and submitted in a timely manner. Computer literate with knowledge of Word, Excel and Power Point and Outlook Thorough knowledge of relevant security systems and their operation. Ability to work independently with confidence, using own initiative as required. Team player with strong leadership skills and being a role model for your fellow colleagues. Must be patient, tolerant, reliable, and trustworthy whilst being persuasive and assertive. Confidence and common sense to access and utilize expert resources when making decisions. 5 years of verifiable work history. Enhanced DBS check.
