Location: Cranbrook
Hours: Full-time (Monday – Friday)
Working Hours:
1. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 9:00 AM – 4:15 PM
2. Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Setting: Specialist School for Students (Ages 11-18) with ASD
Student Needs: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), SEMH, Challenging Behaviour
Are you passionate about supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder? We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Cranbrook, designed to provide a structured, nurturing environment for students aged 11-18.
Your Role:
1. Supporting students with ASD in both academic and social settings.
2. Assisting teachers in delivering engaging, structured lessons tailored to individual needs.
3. Encouraging independence, communication, and social development.
4. Managing challenging behaviour using positive behaviour support strategies.
5. Working closely with teachers and therapists to implement EHCPs and individual learning plans.
Who We’re Looking For:
1. Experience working with students with ASD is highly desirable.
2. Knowledge of SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs and challenging behaviours.
3. A patient, calm, and empathetic approach.
4. Ability to build strong, positive relationships with students and staff.
5. A commitment to making a real difference in students' lives.
