Axess Sexual Health is looking to recruit a Receptionist to support our services in Warrington and Halton. The ideal candidate will have experience using the Electronic Patient Record System and possess excellent customer service skills.
Main Duties of the Job
The successful candidate will work on the main front reception desk, greeting and booking in patients using the Electronic Patient Record system, answering the telephone, completing basic triage, and performing general administrative duties.

These tasks and responsibilities are required of the role within Axess Sexual Health Services. This list is not exhaustive and will be subject to change depending on service developments, staff appraisal, support, and supervision.
Additional Tasks:
1. Receive incoming calls from healthcare professionals and patients wishing to access the service.
2. Enter and amend patient personal information into Electronic Patient Record systems.
3. Welcome and greet patients at service reception desks and respond to queries/enquiries from the public, directing patients appropriately.
4. Process incoming and outgoing calls on the telephone triage line and respond to queries/enquiries from the public.
5. Follow correct processes for dealing with complaints and escalate as necessary.
6. Identify necessary changes to local protocols to aid service improvements and highlight these to an appropriate manager.
7. Prioritize urgent correspondence and enquiries using own initiative and judgement.
8. Ensure mandatory training compliance is maintained and participate in relevant training and development.
9. Follow the reception emergency contingency procedure in relation to computer or network breakdown.
10. Adhere to data protection policies and procedures across clinics and sites.
11. Communicate fluently and clearly with patients without judgement and with empathy.
12. Support the processing of patient requests via telephone, email, or text message to cancel or change appointments.
13. Liaise with colleagues at all levels within the team.
14. Support delivery of services across all shift patterns and locations as required by the service.
15. Undertake any other duties commensurate with the role, including cover for absent colleagues.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* GCSE or NVQ2 or equivalent experience.
* IT literate.
Experience
* Proven knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and email software.
