Job title: Category & Insights Manager
Location: Vitacress Salads (Andover) and Vitacress Herbs (Chichester) Dual role.
Salary range: £50,000 - £55,000 depending on experience.
Shift pattern: Monday to Friday, 8.30 - 5.00pm.
Hours: 40
Contract type: Permanent.

We’re on the lookout for someone to join our team, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping our category vision and driving growth with our key customers. Leveraging data and analytics, you'll provide the insights, identify opportunities and develop tailored category development plans that drive revenue, market share, and profitability. Your strategic insights along with your passion will shape our product offerings, influence shopper behaviour, and ensure we meet industry standards.
You will also have the opportunity to work closely with our Commercial Team working with both our Herbs and Salads sites in the UK. One of your key tasks will be analysing and reviewing key customer commercial activities leading own brand innovation ranges, using this to identify customer-specific opportunities. You’ll manage category spend and support the development of best-in-class ways of working, driving ROI and shopper measures both internally and externally.
Main Responsibilities:
* Managing the day-to-day relationships with the customers to unlock opportunities for Vitacress.
* Delivering recommendations for optimal distribution, range, space and merchandising layouts for the category.
* Analysing, reviewing and validating key customer commercial activities for the customer’s category.
* Managing own brand innovation ranges, refresh and identification of customer-specific own brand opportunities.
* Managing category spend in conjunction with senior team.
* Supporting the development of best in class and support ways of working and functional plans.
* Budgeting, tracking, and reporting processes in place.
* Maximising ROI and shopper measures internally and externally.
* Delivering KPI’s for site-based business teams.
* Playing a key role in driving best in class ways of working in a commercial team.
You’ll enjoy working in a fast-paced consumer-centric environment and have previous category experience, with proficiency in data and trends analysis and a desire to develop skills in wider marketing. You’re passionate about food and just as passionate about nurturing the relationships with your customers and colleagues alike, being a collaborative team player with the ability to influence colleagues.
Previous experience within a similar role is essential and also any experience/knowledge within the FMCG would be highly desirable.
Within this role your week will be split to be based from both our Vitacress Sites Herbs in Chichester + Salads in Andover, with occasional travel required to customer sites.
