An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and forward-thinking Curriculum Lead for Computing to join a high-performing secondary school. Starting in September 2025, this leadership role offers the chance to shape and develop the Computing curriculum across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, within a supportive and ambitious environment.
The role
As the Curriculum Lead for Computing, you will teach across all key stages and take on key responsibilities such as curriculum planning, assessment, marking, and the delivery of high-quality learning experiences. This is an ideal position for an experienced teacher looking to step into a curriculum leadership role or for a current lead seeking a fresh challenge.
The Computing department is committed to equipping students with the knowledge and skills required to thrive in today’s technology-driven world. With digital literacy more important than ever, the curriculum fosters confident, creative, and responsible use of technology. Students are taught not only how to master technical skills but also how to apply them safely and purposefully in everyday life and future employment.
The Curriculum Lead will guide a dedicated team, ensuring that teaching and learning empower students to use technology effectively, both in school and in the world beyond.
The ideal Curriculum Lead for computing will
* Be an experienced Computing teacher with a track record of delivering excellent lessons
* Have the ability to teach Computing across KS3–KS5, including GCSE and A Level
* Demonstrate leadership potential and the vision to develop and innovate the curriculum
* Be committed to raising standards and driving student achievement
* Share the school’s belief in high expectations, traditional values, and a modern, student-centred approach to learning
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
