Lead Commissioning Engineer
Be part of some of the UK’s largest and most complex infrastructure projects.
1. Join a programme dedicated to driving your career forward.
2. Structured career paths supported by quality internal and external training.
3. Competitive pay and reward packages.
4. Opportunities to work across multiple projects throughout your career.
The Role
As a Lead Commissioning Engineer, you will direct a team in the delivery of work and ensure activities are delivered in line with the established Start Up, Commissioning and Pre-Operations processes. This will include:
1. Developing and executing delivery plans in line with project schedules.
2. Reviewing and reporting on work progress.
3. Taking corrective actions where necessary.
You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, but will also collaborate regularly with other teams in your project as well as external vendors and stakeholders. Lead Engineers are seen as our Managers and Senior Managers of the future, so this is a great opportunity to progress your career as part of a long-term programme of work.
The Ideal Person
You will have an HNC or equivalent Level 4 qualification in a relevant discipline as well as experience of leading and/or supervising a team in a technical/engineering environment. The scale and complexity of our projects mean that you will collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, so it’s important that you have excellent communication skills.
It’s also key that you have good leadership skills and enjoy supervising a team, as we’d love to develop this further as your career progresses. Experience of working in Nuclear or a highly regulated environment is nice to have, but if you are new to the industry and have the relevant skills and experience, then we would love to hear from you.
