Electricians: train to be an Estimator MTM Engineering has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Industrial Electrician to come on board and train as an Electrical Estimator. This is a hands-on role with a responsibility to produce Electrical tenders for both pre-designed and design & construct projects along with estimating works working in a professional team. Full training in Estimation will be provided. Key Responsibilities: Management of estimating new projects from inception to submission Setting up estimates, tender packs and applicable trackers. Communicating with internal stakeholders and external Suppliers & Clients Preparing take-offs for LV/MV Cabling and Containment systems from drawings. Inputting take offs and quotes to relevant estimate formats. Produce bills of quantities, schedules of work and contractors' proposal documents to support bids. Assist in the handing over to the operational delivery team. Develop strong inter-departmental relationships working closely with Contracts Managers, QS’s and Design/Engineering department. Requirements: Self-motivated to ensure that project deadlines are achieved. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work on own initiative & as part of a team to manage workload efficiently. Strong communication and organisational skills Ability to read and understand electrical drawings. High attention to detail Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Excel Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non- technical clients. Qualifications in Mathematics & English (5 GCSE or above) demonstrating a strong numerical skillset.
