We are seeking a Work Based Assessor in Construction to be based at our Stornoway campus.

Position: We are seeking a Work Based Assessor in Construction to be based at our Stornoway campus.
Responsibilities: The post holders will be responsible to implement and monitor training, learning and assessment of workplace portfolios on the Carpentry & Joinery SVQ Level 3 (SCQF 6) apprenticeship programmes. To provide advice and support to candidates in the collection and presentation of a portfolio of evidence that meets the performance criteria and evidence requirements of their vocational qualification, and to carry out a fair, safe and reliable assessment of the candidate’s skills and knowledge.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills: The suitable candidates will hold a relevant qualification in the subject area - at minimum SVQ Level 3 (SCQF Level 6) or have comparable knowledge and experience in an industry related qualification and will ideally hold a valid teaching/assessor qualification or willingness to undergo training.
A level of Gaelic ability would be advantageous to your application.
Salary: £32,156 per annum, pro rata
Location: Stornoway
Working Hours: 35 hours, Permanent
