Beningbrough Hall is undertaking a Collections Management Project to complete inventory, including the review and verification of information it contains. The Project Team will deliver work in accordance with the National Trust Collections Management procedures.
As Collections Inventory Officer, you'll focus on collections management as opposed to preventive conservation.
You'll deliver inventory location audit, inventory management and the auditing and collation of information related to the contents of Beningbrough Hall. You'll also support other members of the Project Team to deliver key work.

What it's like to work here
Reporting to the Collections & House Manager, you'll be working full time (37.5 hrs per week) for 6 months.
Your contractual location will be Beningbrough and there will be an expectation for you to attend the office. However, there is flexibility on where you are based at other times. You will be required to work at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week. This will be discussed in more detail at interview.
What you'll be doing
As a project Collections Inventory Officer, you'll be locating documentation and managing information to enable a full audit of findings. You'll also be preparing excel spreadsheet inventories for automatic upload to our central digital database.
You'llmaintain accurate inventory records and provide administrative support to the Project Lead.
Who we're looking for
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
* experience of using a digital Collections Management System
* an awareness of collections management procedures and Museum Accreditation standards
* good written and verbal communication skills, including a strong attention to detail
* the ability to multi-task and prioritise work, whilst maintaining confidentiality
