Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Registered Nurse within the new Health Protection Service (HPS) The newly created HPS will work in partnership, to respond to health protection measures and threats as required. It is envisaged that the HPS will evolve over the year and the post holder will work, either at their designated work base or as part of an agile, patient-facing, outreach team at any location within North Wales. The Health Protection Team will work alongside the other agencies such as Public Health Wales to protect and improve health and well being and reduce health inequalities for the people of North Wales. The Deputy Manager will support the Team Manager and Clinical Service Manager in the clinical, operational management and staff development of the HPS. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, forward thinking experienced nurse with excellent organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously. Are you proactive? Main duties of the job Working as part of the Health Protection Service, the post holder will work, either at their designated work base or as part of an agile, patient-facing, outreach team at any location within north Wales The post holder is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of evidenced-based nursing care, working collaboratively and co-operative with others to meet the needs of patients and their families. Assist in the management and organisation of their clinical area and participating in the education, development and supervision of other staff members.
