Leader Education is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a SEND primary school in Gateshead. This school supports pupils aged 5-11 years with a variety of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC). Prior experience with SEND is preferred.
The school is dedicated to providing a supportive and joyful learning environment where everyone can thrive. Recognised with an 'Outstanding' rating in its Ofsted report, it stands as an exceptional place for both staff and students.
The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30 until 16:30 and is a long-term position.

The successful candidate will:
* Have a current DBS that is on the update system, or a willingness to obtain one
* Have experience working with/supporting children in a group or 1:1 setting
* Collaborate with teachers regarding behaviour management and interventions
* Be adaptable to the different needs of SEND pupils
* Have the communication and interpersonal skills to engage with pupils, parents, and members of staff within the school
