We are welcoming Newly qualified mental health nurses to work within our dynamic multidisciplinary team. Our model of working is based on the Therapeutic Milieu.
The Mildred Creak Unit is a children’s inpatient mental health unit situated within The Department of Child and Adolescent Mental Health at Great Ormond Street Hospital in the heart of London. The Unit cares for young people aged 7 – 14 years old with a range of severe and complex mental health difficulties.

3. Please choose which cohort you want to be considered for: October 25 or January 26.
All applicants will be expected to satisfy the following conditions:
* You must obtain your nursing qualification by your selected date to commence in post.
If your application is successful, you will be invited to an interview during week commencing 28th April 25.

Responsibilities:
* To work as a skilled member of the nursing team, to provide a high standard of holistic family centered care to the children, young people and families.
* Ability to promote family centered care and establish good relationships with children, young people and their families.
* To communicate effectively at all levels within the multi-disciplinary team.
* To be able to take charge of the ward in the absence of senior nursing staff following achievement of required competence.
* To be familiar with and adopt the principles of the NHS Chief Nursing Officers vision for Compassion in Practice (NHS Commissioning Board Dec 2012).
