Assistant Management Accountant
Salary: 29–33k
Type: Permanent – Luton
We are seeking an experienced, motivated and focused candidate to join a successful and expanding business based in Luton. The successful candidate will work as an Assistant Management Accountant undertaking the below responsibilities:
1. Processing of staff credit card and cash expenses from start to finish
2. Processing of purchase invoices and supporting supplier payment runs
3. Preparing the month end payroll journal and reconciliation
4. Assisting the Finance Manager in preparation of management accounts
5. Assisting the Finance Manager with monthly analysis and month end reporting
6. Assisting the Finance Manager with quarterly VAT computation
7. Providing support during year–end audits
8. Performing ad hoc tasks as required
Required Skills, Abilities and Certifications:
* Be actively studying ACCA/CIMA or AAT (part qualified)
* Have excellent Excel skills
* Detail-oriented and analytical
* Be a good team player, but also able to work well individually
* Effective communication skills
* Ability to work to strict deadlines
* Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
* Have a positive 'can–do' attitude
* Experience working in a fast-paced SME environment
* Familiarity with payroll processes and payroll month end responsibilities is an advantage
* SAP Business One or similar ERP experience essential
