Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Manager, you will:
* Lead global and large-scale tax transformation projects, often as part of wider finance transformation programmes.
* Design, build, and deploy ERP and tax automation solutions tailored for tax functions.
* Advise clients on optimising their tax technology and governance frameworks.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions.
* Manage client relationships, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
* Line-manage and mentor team members, overseeing the quality of outputs.
* Identify opportunities to enhance service offerings and provide additional value to clients.
Specialist Areas of Focus
* Tax operating models: Building and managing leading tax functions to handle risk, compliance, and opportunities.
* Technology: Implementing tools and platforms such as SAP S4 HANA, Oracle, or Workday to streamline tax functions.
* Data management: Helping clients harness organisational data to enhance their tax functions.
* Process improvement: Designing and implementing efficient tax processes and automation solutions.
Required Knowledge and Experience
* Proven expertise in tax transformation, including tax technology implementation and ERP system design.
* Experience with VAT determination engines (e.g., Vertex O-Series, Thomson Reuters OneSource) and bolt-ons.
* Strong understanding of tax and finance integration across processes such as Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
* Demonstrated experience in project and client engagement management.
* Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., ATT, CTA, ACA) or equivalent experience; project management certifications are a plus.
