Purpose of the role
This role is responsible for Quality Assurance (QA) for all IT development projects being undertaken within Conexus. The main QA activities will be conducted in an in-house Salesforce development project, which forms part of a strategic business transformation program. Key duties include defining test plans, executing functional, regression, and data migration tests, and using automation tools like Selenium and Provar. The role involves defect management, collaboration with developers to resolve issues, and ensuring solutions meet business requirements through business stakeholder interaction and user acceptance testing (UAT). Additionally, the QA Analyst drives continuous improvement by adopting best practices and providing feedback to enhance product quality and testing efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Stakeholder Collaboration:
o Collaborate with project stakeholders to validate acceptance criteria and testing requirements.
o Partner with business analysts and end-users to validate that the solution meets requirements.
o Support user acceptance testing (UAT) by preparing environments and addressing reported issues.
* Testing Planning and Execution:
o Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Salesforce configurations, customizations, and integrations.
o Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
o Validate data migration processes to ensure accuracy and completeness.
o Develop comprehensive test plans covering API, integration, functional, performance, and regression testing.
o Collaborate with Business Analysts and Developers to define test data requirements and expected outcomes.
* Automation Testing:
o Design and implement test automation frameworks for Salesforce solutions.
o Leverage Salesforce-compatible testing tools to automate repetitive test cases.
* Issue Management:
o Identify, document, and track defects using tools like Jira or similar.
o Work closely with developers to debug and resolve issues.
o Implement QA best practices and processes to improve test coverage and quality.
o Provide feedback on processes, configurations, and development practices to enhance product quality.
Experience:
* 3+ years of experience in quality assurance, with at least 2 years focused on Salesforce projects.
Technical Skills:
* In-depth knowledge of Salesforce testing, including custom objects, Lightning components, and integrations.
* Proficiency with test automation tools like Selenium, Provar, or similar.
* Strong understanding of Salesforce APIs for integration testing.
* Experience with data validation, including pre- and post-migration checks.
* Familiarity with test management tools like Jira, TestRail, or Zephyr.
* Mock API Testing using Postman Mock Server, MuleSoft APIKit, WireMock.
Soft Skills:
* Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
* Effective leadership and team management abilities.
* Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Certifications:
* ISTQB Foundation Level Certification or equivalent.
