We are recruiting a Multi Skilled Engineer for an industry leading robotics business on the outskirts of Doncaster.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Design and wire control panels for automation systems and robotic applications.
2. Ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
3. Utilise drilling, grinding, and welding skills for the fabrication and assembly of mechanical components and structures.
4. Collaborate with the design team to bring mechanical concepts to reality.
5. Proficiently use CAD software to create detailed designs for mechanical components and electrical systems.
6. Ability to apply animation to CAD design.
7. Work closely with the engineering team to iterate and optimise designs.
8. Identify and resolve electrical and mechanical issues in control panels and machinery.
9. Implement effective troubleshooting techniques to minimise downtime.
10. Run supply cables and ensure proper routing and termination.
11. Adhere to safety and quality standards during cable installations.
12. Design and create customised End-of-Arm Tools tailored to specific robotic applications.
13. Develop creative and efficient solutions to overcome engineering challenges.
14. Propose improvements to existing systems for enhanced performance and reliability.
15. Provide regular project updates and collaborate on project timelines.
Qualifications:
1. Preferable but not essential: HNC or above in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
2. Proven experience in designing and wiring control panels.
3. Proficiency in CAD software for both electrical and mechanical design.
4. Strong mechanical fabrication skills, including welding, grinding, and drilling.
5. Solid understanding of electrical systems and the ability to troubleshoot issues.
6. Experience in cable management and installation.
7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Personal Skills:
1. Good team player but can also work on own initiative.
2. Good communication skills with employer, colleagues, customers and suppliers.
3. Fluent in spoken and written English.
4. Good fault-finding skills.
5. Ability to “Think outside of the box”.
6. Current, valid driving license with no pending disqualifications.
7. Own reliable car.
8. Current, valid passport.
Benefits:
1. £35k - £40k, with a review after a successful 3-month probationary period.
