The Opportunity: Due to continued business growth, we are currently recruiting a Senior Geospatial Engineer to join our Geospatial Engineering Department on a permanent basis. This position, based in London and reporting to the Head of Department, offers an exciting opportunity for someone eager to contribute to a range of high-profile projects in the fast-paced Geospatial industry, while leveraging their expertise in construction and surveying. What will I be doing in my new role? Setting out for different trades in construction. Primary control establishment Prepare and analyse data for set-out for yourself and others Utilise modern survey methods and survey devices such as Total Stations, GNSS, UAV, HDS, imaging tools, GPS, Data Collectors. Record surveying information accurately and consistently on site to the agreed specification and scope Perform detailed report writing and data representation. Utilisation of post processing software such as AutoCAD, StarNet and BRICSCAD. Delivering instructions and training/developments to junior members of the team. Build and maintain relationships with clients and various stakeholders, ensuring we deliver projects to exact customer requirements. Any other duties as required by the business. Requirements of the role: Have relevant qualifications (Surveying, Geomatics or Engineering) and/or 5 years of relevant experience. Fundamental knowledge of the principles and practices of surveying and geospatial engineering, especially control networks. Ability to communicate technical information effectively. Understand scopes of work and project requirements. Have strong knowledge of current CAD technology. Experience working in infrastructure and construction. Experience with HD Laser Scanning technology and software (desired but not essential). Experience with machine control (desired but not essential). Possess a full clean UK/ International Drivers’ licence Flexibility to travel nationwide as required by our clients. Possess a CSCS card or be prepared to start the process The right to work in the UK. What key attributes do I need?
