Rolls Royce Motor Cars, Goodwood – Technology, Material and Process Analysis Internship - 13 Month Placement July (2025)

What awaits you?
1. Learn the spectrum of laboratory research in an agile environment.
2. Develop testing plans with us, accompany us in carrying out and evaluating complex investigations and problem analyses in the areas of metals/non-metals as well as chemistry and process materials.
3. Work on topics of the future and participate to shape them with us.
4. Use the knowledge you have learned to interpret the results, generate recommendations and solutions, and learn to create test reports.
5. Support in the development of test methods and the continuous improvement of existing test methods and get the opportunity to make a decisive contribution to the production of the future.
6. Through daily contact with a wide range of process partners, you gain deep insights into various areas of the company and help shape them.
7. Enjoy cross-site collaboration and communication with the plants and other TWA/laboratory locations.
Qualifications and Experience
8. Study of materials science, chemistry, surface technology, plastics technology, mechanical engineering or scientifically based education and experience that are relevant to the professional role.
9. Proven experience in a laboratory environment and practical experience with material analysis in the laboratory is desirable.
10. Experience in automotive production is desirable.
11. Broad knowledge of production processes and BMW wider business to support technical knowledge is desirable.
12. Analytical thinking, ability to work in a team, IT skills and a structured way of working.
13. High level of self-motivation and reliability.
14. Can work alone or in a multi-functional team.
15. Very good communication and presentation skills.
16. In-depth knowledge of problem resolution techniques and / or project management.
17. Knowledge of Health and Safety and Environmental impacts.
18. Valid UK driving license.
19. German language ability is desirable.
