About the Role
We are looking for a registered Social Worker who has a high level of professional confidence and can work independently and provide excellent leadership to staff across the county.
Reporting to one of our Head of Academy, you will be a key member of the team supporting the delivery of an excellent service to social care staff including Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Social Care Practitioners and Mental Health professionals across the Adults, Wellbeing and Health Partnerships Directorate.
You will need to demonstrate knowledge of both our Preceptorship programme for Occupational Therapists and the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) programme for Social Workers. You will be working alongside two other Senior Practitioner Specialist Leads and will have the opportunity to be involved in a variety of professional development initiatives, particularly in jointly supporting and managing both the Preceptorship and ASYE programmes and their assessors.
You will also provide key support to our Trainee Scheme, including line management to some of our Occupational Therapy and Social Work Trainees. Another essential part of the role will require you to deliver training and facilitate group forums, so confidence in teaching and public speaking will be essential.
You must be able to work with minimal supervision, using your knowledge and positive attitude to ensure tasks are completed accurately and within required deadlines. Your experience and ability to manage high volumes of work effectively whilst providing support to team and service colleagues will enable you to complete both complex and routine tasks that include but are not limited to:
* Liaising with staff, managers and partner organisations
* Responding to and resolving enquiries and problems
* Keeping accurate records
* Preparing for moderation panels
* Providing line management support to Trainees
* Developing effective systems to manage projects
* Attending meetings as required across the county
* Traveling to other local authorities and organisations
As part of our commitment to post-qualification professional development, you will be supported to identify your own learning and development needs.
