A Day in the Life of an Oncology Pharmacist:
Join our clients team as an Oncology Pharmacist in an NHS hospital, where you will play a crucial role in supporting oncology and chemotherapy services. Your core responsibilities include:
1. Reviewing and verifying oncology and chemotherapy prescriptions.
2. Providing expert pharmaceutical advice to oncology teams.
3. Ensuring safe and effective use of chemotherapy and cancer treatments.
4. Educating patients on oncology medications and managing side effects.
5. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient care.
6. Maintaining accurate records and staying up to date with oncology best practices.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Current and valid GPhC registration
- Hospital experience is not required; the team is happy to train community-experienced pharmacists!
- Interest in or experience with oncology and chemotherapy medications
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
Working Hours & Contract Duration:
This role is based on-site in Northampton and requires availability Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. The contract is ongoing, with a strong possibility of extension based on performance and service needs.
