Long Term Futures is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Student Support Lead to support a mainstream secondary school in the Chesterfield (S43) area. The successful candidate will be the initial point of contact for day-to-day guidance and support for students within a defined year group.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership in the area of student support, working with colleagues to ensure high standards of behaviour and attitudes across the school.
Plan and manage a co-ordinated pastoral support programme for students and their families.
Develop and implement initiatives to support student well-being, resilience, and academic progress.
Organise and Lead TAF Meetings for students and attend case reviews as required.
Collaborate with the school attendance officer and heads of section to identify students requiring intervention to improve attendance.
Collaborate with the Assistant Headteacher, teaching staff, and external agencies to ensure appropriate interventions for students.
Lead on attendance monitoring, ensuring accurate records and working proactively to address absenteeism.
Take lead in managing the behaviour of a year group.The school is looking to appoint someone who:
Has experience in student support, pastoral care, and behaviour management.
Possesses strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage students, staff, and external stakeholders effectively.
Demonstrates a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Has an Enhanced DBS certificate.
