Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic radiographer, holding either a BSc (Radiography), DCR or equivalent, to join our progressive breast imaging team at the North & Mid Hants Breast Screening Service.
North & Mid Hampshire Breast Screening Service serves the population of 95 thousand eligible women who live across Hampshire. There are static units at Royal Hampshire County Hospital (RHCH) and Basingstoke Hospital where our symptomatic one stop clinics take place. RHCH is the location of all our assessment clinics. The initial mammographic screen is provided by 3 high spec digital mobile vans which are situated in various locations in the Hampshire community.
The RHCH is conveniently situated near the M3, with good local and regional rail links, a short train journey to London! Winchester is one of England's most picturesque and historically significant cities in Southern England, sitting on the gateway to the New Forest, with equally easy access to the Solent.
The successful applicant must hold a full drivers licence and have access to a car.
Previous mammography experience is preferable, but not essential as training can be provided. HHFT supports staff training and career progression; we embrace skill mix.
Due to the sensitive nature of the post, only female applicants will be considered.
Main Duties of the Job
The successful candidate will be performing mammography on one of the 3 mobile vans, situated in the community of North and Mid Hampshire, and at Basingstoke Hospital. Additionally, the candidate will provide mammographic assistance in one-stop and assessment clinics at Winchester hospital.
