This is an incredible opportunity to join Women for Women International UK as their new Philanthropy Manager—a role perfect for someone who is passionate about building a mid-level giving programme and creating a pipeline to grow major donors.
About the Role
Joining a small but dedicated Corporate and Philanthropy team, you will play a pivotal role in expanding and diversifying Women for Women International UK’s donor portfolio. With committed high-value supporters already in place, your focus will be on:
1. Developing and growing mid-level donor relationships, implementing stewardship plans, and increasing engagement.
2. Building a strategic pipeline to convert mid-level donors into major donors and support the charity’s long-term growth.
3. Collaborating with global teams in the UK, Germany, and the US to develop funding proposals and grow philanthropy internationally.
4. Engaging new funders through cultivation events, networks, and direct approaches.
5. Balancing technical and strategic fundraising, from ensuring accurate data management to developing innovative donor engagement strategies.
Why This Role?
1. A crucial focus – You’ll take ownership of a growing mid-level giving programme and play a key role in developing long-term donor relationships.
2. A balanced mix – This role blends the technical (uploading data, financial reporting) with strategic pipeline building and donor engagement.
3. A fantastic culture – A young, sociable team, a supportive, non-hierarchical management style, and brilliant benefits – including every other Friday off!
4. A stable opportunity in a turbulent market – While fundraising landscapes shift, this organisation is solid and growing.
5. A charity of hope – When asked what makes this organisation special, the line manager described it as a charity of hope, with a tangible and deeply impactful cause.
About You
A strong relationship fundraiser, confident in engaging, cultivating, and stewarding donors. Able to blend technical and strategic fundraising – from managing donor data to developing long-term giving pipelines. Experienced in building donor pipelines, with knowledge of philanthropy trends and donor motivations. A collaborative team player, eager to work across teams to maximise opportunities and donor engagement. This is a rare opportunity to join a team that is making a real difference while offering a dynamic and supportive work environment.
