Main Function & Scope The Project Manager UK (“PM”) is part of the Asset Excellence team, and principal responsibility is to project manage the safe deployment of developed performance improvement solutions across the portfolio. This role will initially focus on the delivery of aerodynamic upgrades in existing wind-farms across Portugal, Spain, France and the UK. Reporting to the Operational Project Delivery Manager, the PM will utilise Project Management knowledge and experience, the PM will work closely with the wider Asset Excellence teams, Development, HSQE, Asset Management teams, contractors and OEM, to lead and oversee the safe delivery of projects to budget and schedule. This role is for a fixed term contract for 2 years. The role holder will be responsible for direct line management of a Project Coordinator. Location We operate an Agile Working policy which allows employees to work flexibly near our office locations. You must have the right to work in the UK/European Union. Key Responsibilities Project Development Phase Support the wider team in resolving pre-deployment actions, providing feedback on contracts, programme, design and taking overall responsibility for pre-deployment onsite activities Mitigating execution stage risk Communication of overall and site specific HSE requirements Ensuring operational requirements are captured in specification and contracts Provide overall input on deployment strategy, site information and requirements Support in the development of the budget for each project and provide support for business case approval Development Stage Play a key role in achieving safe project completion: Closely work with the Procurement and engineering teams in tendering processes Manage both onsite and offsite contractors and suppliers against agreed contracts Manage the interface between contractors and key stakeholders such as asset Management team, turbine O&Ms/ISPs Manage the project budget, claims, variations and payments Overall responsibility for managing interface between contractors, O&M/ISPs and the asset management team Responsible for project budget control, from raising POs to invoicing, ensuring costs are tracked and within budget Managing process of applying alternative Safe Systems of Work on site Ensure continuous compliance with relevant Health, Safety and Environmental standards and legislation, including wind turbine safety rules Prepare necessary project reporting, including creating and updating dashboards, budget forecasts, and action logs Complete site audits Competencies & Behaviours Essential Organised and methodical mindset Safety orientated Results focussed Drive and persistence Confident and articulate communicator Excellent level of written communication Teamwork Directing others Developing relationships Cross-cultural awareness and sensitivity Skills & Knowledge Essential Excellent Project Management skills Project budget management and reporting Ability to understand complex engineering work scopes and translate this into a delivery plan Contract structures and negotiation Working knowledge of safety legislation Desirable Knowledge of Wind Turbine Safety Rules (desirable) Relevant Experience Essential Multi-project and stakeholder management Development and implementation of strategies and processes Resource management Worked across internal teams to ensure delivery Desirable Worked across several jurisdictions Delivery of projects in wind and/or solar industry Education & Qualifications Degree in Engineering discipline IOSH or NEBOSH qualified (desirable) Qualification in Project Management (e.g. PRINCE2, AMP) (desirable) Language Skills Fluent in English (essential); Additional Portuguese, Spanish, French or German languages would be advantageous.
