We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join the Admiral Money team on a 6 month fixed term contract. The opportunity is to project manage our Collections Improvement project.
With experience of delivering complex IT-enabled projects, you will be accustomed to delivering projects with a mix of internal delivery teams, external professional services resource, 3rd party integrated services and with significant business input.
Main duties
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a proven history of delivering I.T. and business projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for project managing the Collections Improvement project from inception through to delivery, ensuring the project is kept within the agreed tolerances. All governance and control aspects of the project must be fully documented and maintained, including RAID logs, change control, and any other controls as defined in the Project Framework.

* Agreeing project objectives
* Managing and organising resources working on a project
* Carrying out project risk assessments
* Ensuring that the critical success factors of the project are met
* Benefits realisation planning
* Guaranteeing that project quality standards are met
* Using I.T. or other systems to keep track of people and progress
* Overseeing and owning financial management and budgets
* Reporting to Steering Committees, Programme and Portfolio checkpoints
* Evaluating the success of the project against benchmarks
* Developing and maintaining a close relationship with Business Stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of projects
* Providing high-level, realistic, and detailed project plans
* Ensuring resource requirements and any changes to project resources are communicated to the resource manager
* Managing change effectively, utilising the correct communication channels
* Planning and participating in the project ‘Lessons Learnt’ meetings and post-implementation reviews
* Sharing lessons or best practice with other project managers/change professionals in the organisation
* Ensuring all projects are fully documented and regular reports providing details of progress are produced and distributed to relevant parties
* Managing the project in a best practice fashion whilst using the required methodology

Experience and Qualifications Required
Essential:
* Proven and demonstrable record of successful project management
* Excellent multi-tasking skills
* Ability to prioritise and manage work in line with
* Workstream planning and Critical path analysis
* Budget Management experience
* Stakeholder Management and Matrix management experience
* Demonstrable communication skills
* Strong understanding of delivery methodologies (Waterfall & Agile preferred)
* Commercially aware
* Relevant project management qualifications; Prince2, APM or AgilePM
Desirable:
* Experience of Collections in Financial Services (ideally for both secure and unsecure lending)
* Experience working with PanCredit as a Loans Management System
* Experience of Confluence and JIRA
* Technical knowledge of relevant I.T. systems
* Understanding of Insurance and Financial Services
* Understanding of the regulatory landscape (FCA, PRA etc.)
