Job Title: Workstation and Workplace Assessor (WSA/WPA)
Location: Bristol, Midlands, Glasgow/Edinburgh, UK
Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time (minimum 22.5 hours per week)
Salary: £36,000 - £40,000 FTE (pro-rata to hours worked), dependent on experience

Role Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Workstation and Workplace Assessor (WSA/WPA) to join our growing Musculoskeletal (MSK) department. This is a hybrid role that involves travel to client sites within your region to deliver both virtual and face-to-face workstation and workplace assessments. You will be responsible for ensuring workplace environments are ergonomically sound, identifying potential hazards, and providing actionable solutions to improve employee well-being and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assessments: Conduct workstation and workplace assessments both virtually via video consultations and in-person at client sites.
* Reporting: Provide detailed and accurate assessment reports with clear recommendations, submitted in a timely manner.
* Risk Identification: Identify hazards within workplaces and assess their potential to cause or aggravate musculoskeletal conditions.
* Ergonomics: Perform ergonomic risk assessments and offer solutions to mitigate risks to employee health.
* Health Promotion: Lead and contribute to health promotion events to raise awareness of musculoskeletal health and ergonomics.
* Collaboration: Liaise with other team members and health professionals to discuss necessary changes in work practices or the working environment.
* Data Collection: Gather and report statistical data related to assessments for further analysis.
* Management Reporting: Provide regular updates to management on assessments, hazards, and health promotion efforts.
What We Are Looking For:
* Qualifications: A health-related degree or equivalent qualifications with experience in WSA/WPA.
* Experience: Minimum of 2 years in conducting workstation and workplace assessments.
* Desirable: Post-graduate training in Occupational Health or Ergonomics. Registration with HCPC or professional ergonomic bodies (e.g., ACPOHE, RCO, CIEHF, HFES) is an advantage.
* Skills:
o Expertise in ergonomic assessments and musculoskeletal health conditions.
o Ability to write clear, concise, and accurate reports.
o Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work autonomously or within a team.
o Strong customer focus and ability to suggest clinical improvements when appropriate.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Other Requirements:
o Full, clean driving license and access to a personal vehicle for travel to client sites.
o Must be based in the UK, able to legally work and reside in the country during standard working hours.
